GOEN pres. SEBii (live) ++ SHANGHAI

Built around SEBii as the central artist, the event was conceived as a live translation of his distinct creative universe. Born in Shanghai and based in New York, SEBii’s work moves between hyperpop, internet-era rap, electronic production and visual storytelling, shaped by playful vocals, glitch-driven textures and the recurring world of his mascot, VV.

Rather than treating the night as a conventional headline show, GOEN used SEBii’s music as the starting point for a wider curatorial framework. The lineup brought together artists whose practices intersect with different parts of his sonic language — from Paris-based producer and DJ chenpol’s hybrid of trap, R&B, dancehall and electronic club music, to Kuala Lumpur-based ambii’s darker combination of trance, witch house and experimental club sounds, alongside Shanghai-based artists.
