GOEN AFTER EDEN

Beginning with the moment queer intimacy is written out of the sacred story of Eden, After Eden brings together more than twenty artists working across photography, painting, sculpture, installation, moving image, sound and performance. Set within the dark underground vaults of The Crypt Gallery, the exhibition asks how intimacy can be rebuilt when belonging to family, faith, nation and origin has been denied. Across six days, the space moves between sustained viewing, live performance and collective gathering, imagining queer intimacy not as a fixed condition, but as something continually created through bodies, ritual and shared presence.

GOEN AFTER EDEN transforms the underground vaults of The Crypt Gallery into a temporary space of queer gathering through sound, performance, and DJ sets. For one night, sound and bodies fill the Crypt, shifting it from a space of observation into one of shared presence. The gathering is not an addition to the exhibition, but the moment the space becomes collective.
